Our history
The story began in Remscheid, in Westhausen with the Wilms family.
Witech is above all a story about family, passion and meetings.
1875
THE DOOR HANDLE
The company Witech GmbH is a Spin-Off of the previous company founded by Gottlieb Ernst Wilms, which since 1875 was engaged in the production of bronze and metal goods as well as in anodizing, galvanizing and chrome plating.
1639
FAMILY TREE
The family history, which goes back to the 15th century, shows the generations of the Wilms family, who dealt with the subject of metal from an early age.
1936
VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS
The origin of surface treatment began here in Westhausen. The handcraft of chromium plating was already early in Jochen's life. He was able to live out his entrepreneurial thinking and acting at an early age.

1978
THE BEGINNING
At the time of their wedding, no one had any idea of their shared professional future. But the saw in the background is their destiny.
1987
BUILDING THE COMPANY
Almost 10 years after the wedding and with two children on their side, both wanted to rebuild the hard chrome plating shop. At that time, at the age of 32, they built up their base in the Fürbergerstraße in Remscheid. The family business Wilms was founded.
2020
TODAY
Even after 40 years, the company and its employees are still available to every customer with help and advice.
